The Engine that Drives Itself
Busch Gardens Williamsburg.. A great place to make memories with family and friends. Behind the scenes though, there is a team of folks who make everything happen. From the rides you enjoy, the food you savor, to the buildings and grounds that make the park so memorable. Busch maintenance is there, foul weather and fair, all hours of the day. mechanics start long before daybreak ensuring the safety of their rides and a second crew comes in to keep em going into the night. Facility teams make sure that the water flows, the cookers cook, and the air blows at the right temperature. Painters and Carpenters keep things together and looking sharp. Electricians have a hand in everything from 13,200 volts to rides PLC's and sensors. It's a massive undertaking that takes place 363 days of the year. I wanted to capture images of these unsung components of the engine that drives the magic.
